Mantras - The Universal sounds

Mantra is a sound from and of the heart.

Mantra meditation is a form of meditation that involves the repetition of a sacred word, phrase or sound known as a mantra. This practice has deep roots in various spiritual traditions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism, as well as in other contemplative practices around the world they are utilized as powerful tools for spiritual growth and self-realization.

In mantra meditation, the repeated chanting or silent repetition of the mantra serves as a focal point for the mind, helping to quiet distractions and cultivate inner peace and spiritual awareness. Mantras are believed to have vibrational qualities that resonate with the practitioner's consciousness, facilitating deeper states of meditation and connection with the divine.

Throughout history, mantra meditation has been used as a tool for spiritual growth, enlightenment, and self-discovery. It is valued for its ability to calm the mind, reduce stress, and promote a sense of...

Power your Boredom

The Power of Boredom

Unleash Your Creativity and Discover Yourself!

Holidays are both great times to spend time with family and friends, but for some, it's a time of loneliness and negative emotions.  However, if we embrace these moments to reflect on the past year to plan the future, it can help us live a more fulfilled life.  Life has many challenges to deal with and we are constantly on the move and overloading our senses with daily life, but if we can find to do nothing, simply be bored, and have rest from being stimulated, we allow an empty mind to find ourselves.

Boredom, often seen as an empty feeling or a lack of stimulation, is a state that we have all experienced at some point in our lives. It arises when our minds are not engaged in any meaningful activities, and we find ourselves with nothing to do. But what if I told you that there is more to boredom than meets the eye?

Sense of Purpose : Awaken Your Dormant Energy

What is a sense of purpose?

We grow up with expectations created by parents, the education system, and the environment, but these are expectations.  They don’t always give us a sense of purpose.

A sense of purpose helps us to have clarity as to why we do what we do daily. It gives a reason to get up in the morning.  So, when do you realise that you have a sense of purpose in your life to reach goals?

There are many goals in life, e.g., to study, work, train for a profession, and serve the community, these goals motivate us to work hard, towards achieving our purpose and give our life direction for a meaningful and satisfying life.

How does one cultivate a sense of purpose?  Life is made of going to work, paying off bills, raising children and leisure time.  But this is controlled by our environment, and it can be difficult to break away from the routine. The routine sucks you in and usually, illness or tragedy diverts the attention.  The sense of...

Resilience or Neuro Drama

We are universal beings so whatever happens around us affects us.

How we respond depends on us. We can create drama around the event, which I call Neuro Drama or develop resilience.

Emotional intelligence enables us to process events and behaviours to protect ourselves and develop positive relationships.   It involves developing a flexible body and mind.   In Yoga, I often see students who are physically inflexible and interpreted as stubborn (inflexible mind).    The stubborn mind and inflexible body prevent from moving on in life, thus creating Neuro Drama.

Life is full of adversity and stress has now become part of life.  We are continuously bombarded with negative information via multimedia.   We have a choice to either succumb to the outside negative noise or take responsibility for how we respond.

We can’t plan our whole life without stress, but we can learn to deal with how we respond and how to diffuse the inner storm...

Living above Cause and Effect

Cause and effect are intrinsically connected to human beings.   Whatever we think will influence us and everyone around us (family, friends, environment).  The immediate example is how our environment is affected by our daily habits and use of materials.

So, you may think is it possible to elevate the self from cause and effect?

Yes, but to elevate ourselves, we need to work on the self, our auric field, strengthen our electromagnetic field and raise our energy beyond the physical plane of body and mind.

Taking responsibility in our life for what is working and not working and becoming the creator of life is the real cause, but when we play the blame game, we are giving away our power and allowing others to affect our life.

We are masters of our destiny:

  • We choose how to interpret our experiences.
  • We choose to experience emotions both consciously and unconsciously at any one moment in time.
  • We choose to behave by how we Think about the world, events and ourselves.

Extend your Energy Field

The five elements - (earth, water, fire,  either and air) are present in our body. These elements change with the external environment, e.g, in autumn and spring, our body begins to change to welcome summer and winter.

The elements are waves of frequency. These waves of energy create balance and imbalance in our body - physical, mental, and emotional.

The Marma points in the body activate the meridian pathways to enable the energy to travel around the body. The flow of energy is interrupted when Marma points are blocked, which manifests as physical and emotional symptoms.

Meditation and Yoga connect mind and body to extend the energy field to project out. The energy field can be felt by animals and some humans, thus creating a calming effect in the immediate surrounding.

Regular practice helps to calm the heart, mind, and emotions. Additionally, it clears the mind to reduce unnecessary traumas and drama in life.

The...
